Day 4 Virtue : Silence
See my day started
off pretty rough by waking up late, and being overweight before weigh-ins and etc.
So Waking up at 5:00 I go sprinting for about 30 minutes , literally 30 minutes
then coming back home I decide to take a sip of water knowing I’m not supposed
to but I couldn’t help it because I was so dehydrated drank it and fell fast
asleep . BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ! Its 6:30 bus leaves at 7:00, I call pj he sound like
he just woke up and I told him we were going to be late. So he woke up got
ready and told his aunt to drop us off , when we arrived our destination the
locker room I weighed in I was about .2 over and pj was 1 pound . So Pj and I
jogged in the locker room trying to sweat those pounds off. finally 7:00 come
pj made weight and I did too , We begin the tournament pretty decent I’m
winning haven’t lost a match yet suddenly it came down to my fourth one , the
guy I was wrestling was aggressive and rude . Every time we'd go out of bounds
and id try to help him up he'd slap my hand away , so while we were resetting
the guy slaps me I was about to blow then coach grabbed me and said "
Ragae relax wrestling your match and win ". So I did and I pinned the guy
on his neck. See If I had retaliated back I would have lost the match because
of disqualification of un-sportsman like conduct and wouldn't have left them
tournament undefeated 5-0.

Day 3 Virtue : Silence
Monday 12 2012 as
any ordinary Monday kids are dragging themselves like mindless zombies. Well
for myself a conservative teenager with a smile on his face. Well my day didn’t
begin that good; I missed the bus, paced to the hell hole called South Cobb
high school where mindless zombies are dumber than a rock, missed homeroom and as
40 min late to 1st block walking in class taking an exam. So first
block ends I walked to 2nd block upstairs seeing the typical Mexicans
making out, basketball players conversing and freshman just being freshmen.
Well before I reached my 2nd block the administrator Coach Stine tugs
me aside and tells me to come into his office. With a lost expression on my
face I go and I see one of my peers Corey in their looking sad. Entering his
hallway he starts talking about me throwing this at this girls head and I just
kept my cool and didn’t argue cause I didn’t need too , because I didn’t throw
it and I kept telling him no sir I didn’t and he finally notice I was telling
the truth and let me go.

Logos
Logos (Logical) means persuading by the use of reasoning. This will be the most important technique we will study, and Aristotle's favorite. We'll look at deductive and inductive reasoning, and discuss what makes an effective, persuasive reason to back up your claims. Giving reasons is the heart of argumentation, and cannot be emphasized enough. We'll study the types of support you can use to substantiate your thesis, and look at some of the common logical fallacies, in order to avoid them in your writing.
Pathos
Pathos (Emotional) means persuading by appealing to the reader's
emotions. We can look at texts ranging from classic essays to contemporary
advertisements to see how pathos, emotional appeals, are used to persuade.
Language choice affects the audience's emotional response, and emotional
appeal can effectively be used to enhance an argument.
This Picture Describes Pathos because , It showes a lil girl injured and the slogan say," In Town, Car Accidents Dont Happen To Cars. Stating that children could get injured to so its best to drive say and slow.

Ethos
Ethos : is a Greek word meaning "character" that is used to describe the
guiding beliefs or ideals that characterize a community, nation, or
ideology. The Greeks also used this word to refer to the power of music
to influence its hearer's emotions, behaviors, and even morals.
This picture is ethos because; it’s encouraging the community
to purchase vitamin water. Vitamin water has recently used one of the world top
athletes, Kobe Bryant in order to help probe that their product really works. Kobe ’s muscular physique
and physical activity proves to the viewer that Vitamin Water is healthy enough
to keep such an athlete in great physical shape. Along with their
reputation, Vitamin Water makes sure that viewers know both their logo and
slogans used in this powerful advertisement.
Day 2 Virtue : Silence
Tap
Tap Tap Tap! Waking up to the sound of someone thumping on my window annoyed. I
wake up stretch and look, and seeing that it’s my friend named Phillip with a
pair of cargo pants I left at his house. I walk up the steps let him through
the front door. He’s rushing me because I woke up late and the bus was coming
less than 5 minutes. So I ran brushed my teeth, urine, and threw same clothes
on then we left. So walking to the bus we talked about what we were doing this
weekend and how much money we have left.
Approaching school at 8:15 I was irritated
because I couldn’t eat breakfast, because I had to be at homeroom on time or else
I would receive a tardy pass, but we don’t want that to happen. So in homeroom I
was ill-tempered and drained didn’t want to be disturbed. The bell rang now we
are going to 1st block. Walking in 1st block I go to my
seat rested my head down because my stomach began aching. Then suddenly my female
classmate started yelling at me for absolutely no reason and I replied back by
saying some disrespectful words which was very dishonorable and immature way. I
should have just walked away and be quiet , because doing that action was very
ill-mannered and it showed others that I was an uncontrollable child .

The Enlightenment Shift
Enlightenment
& Puritan Shift
![]() |
This is the Salem witch trial . where 'witches' were convicted |
After years of the
Puritan era, people shift right to the Enlighten era. The Enlightenment Era was
acknowledged for the "The Age of Reason”. Why? Well during the 17th
century the enlightenment was a period when reason was valued above all else,
the church was questioned on the basis of reason. Two good examples which aid
the illustration why various historians split the Age of Reason from the
Enlightenment are the works of Thomas Hobbes and John Locke. Hobbes, whose
ideas are a product of the age of reason, systematically pursues and
categorizes human emotion, and argues for the need of a rigid system to hold
back the chaos of nature in his work Leviathan. While John Locke is clearly an
intellectual descendant of Hobbes, for him the state of nature is the source of
all rights and unity, and the state's role is to protect, and not to hold back,
the state of nature. This fundamental shift, from a rather chaotic and dark
view of nature, to a fundamentally orderly view, is an important aspect of the
Enlightenment. You may find more information about the enlightenment era at: http://www.martinfrost.ws/htmlfiles/enlightenment_age.html

I think the shift amongst
the puritans to the enlightenment era is a progressive shift because people can
believe in what they want without being harassed, think outside the box , also
become what you desire without individuals criticizing you , believing that you
